Diaries and other papers, 1841-1867. Includes details of pastoral activities at "Strathlodden", 1841-1842 and "Dunmore", 1842-1867. The diaries also contain references to MacKnight's partners, James Hamilton Irvine and William Campbell, and to his neighbours, Thomas Alexander Browne ("Rolf Boldrewood") and the Mollison brothers. Other papers include an account book, 1847-1867 and transcripts of the diaries.
